RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay are investigating after they say thousands of dollars worth of work boots were stolen from a business.
Police say the investigation begins at nearby Terrington Co-op on Abbott Drive when someone, who was caught on surveillance video, attempted to break in to a refrigerated Sea-Can on the property.
The suspect broke the padlock and damaged the latch, but did not get inside.
Sometime that same night is when National Safety Equipment, located on Hamilton River Road, was broken in to.
Forty pairs of Timberland and Acton work boots, with a total value of $14,000, were stolen.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 709-896-3383 or Crime Stoppers.
