Video circulating on social media appears to show the moment in which a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis, crash-landed at Toronto Pearson yesterday afternoon.
The flight, with 80 people on board, flipped on the tarmac after landing. The video shows the aircraft making a hard landing, with flame and smoke visible before it tilts to the right, and then flips onto its back.
Twenty-one people were taken to hospital, some of whom were reported to have suffered critical, but non-life threatening injuries. Nineteen have since been treated and released.
Toronto Pearson CEO Deborah Flint says flight delays in and out of Toronto Pearson are possible for the next few days as the investigation continues.
She refused to speculate on whether or not weather or runway conditions contributed to the crash.
Investigators of the Transportation Safety Board are on site to conduct their probe into the crash in cooperation with members of the FAA, Delta Air Lines and representatives of Mitsubishi.
