A 36-year-old man has been charged after being arrested following an overnight break-in this week in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

RCMP were contacted after an alarm was set off at a local business around 3:00 Tuesday morning.

Officers found fresh footprints in the snow and police dog Phox picked up the trail. Police apprehended Kieran Pardy a short time later hiding in nearby bushes.

He was arrested and appeared in court yesterday on two counts of break and enter and breach of probation.
