Connor McDavid scored in OT to give Canada a 3-2 win in the championship of the 4 Nations hockey tournament. It was nip and tuck all the way with the States leading 2-1.
Sam Bennett scored the tying goal in the second, followed by a scoreless third.
The two sides took it to overtime where McDavid ripped the puck past netminder Connor Hellebuyck with celebrations erupting on the ice and across the country.

Head coach Jon Cooper says the team took the tournament seriously and hopes the victory brings a sense of pride to Canadians.
“This one was different,” said Cooper. “This wasn’t a win for themselves, this was a win for 40+ million people, and the guys knew it and they delivered.”
