The Director General of United Against Hate Canada says Premier Andrew Furey will be missed.
Marvin Rotrand, the former National Director of the League for Human Right of B’nai Brith Canada, wrote an open letter to the premier, thanking him for quick response to their outreach.
He says Newfoundland and Labrador “became a beacon fighting hate and intolerance” under Furey’s leadership.
Rotrand says he will cherish his interaction with the members of Furey’s team leading up to the province’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism and the commitment to improve Holocaust education in the school curriculum.
