A teenager has been charged after getting feisty with police during an arrest last night.

RNC were called by someone in the downtown area around 10:30 p.m. saying two people were intoxicated.

Police found the pair and discovered they were young people who had breached their court orders.

Both were taken into custody, but one young person wasn’t willing to go quietly as they fought the arresting officer.

They were charged with assault causing bodily harm on a police officer, assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, resisting arrest, and breach of court order.

Both teens were held to appear in court.
