One of newly-minted Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first acts was to drop the hated Carbon Tax, but consumers won’t see the benefit at the pumps for another couple of weeks.
The change won’t take effect until April 1st, when nearly 17 cents will come off the price of a litre of gas, and 21 cents will come off the price of a litre of diesel.
The change also means that carbon tax rebate cheques will stop being delivered, after the next payment at the beginning of April.
