Metro police are investigating following a fire at a Torbay home Friday night.

The fire department was called during the supper hour Friday, where crews were met with fire and heavy smoke.

There was nobody in the home at the time, but a pet has been reported missing since the fire.

Fire Chief Rodney Gaudet says there’s no word yet on how the fire started.
