There are indications that Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to call an election as early as this weekend.

Carney was sworn-in as Liberal Leader, and as Canada’s 24th Prime Minister on March 14.

It’s widely believed that Carney will dissolve Parliament and call an election this Sunday, with Canadian voters going to the polls either April 28 or May 5.

A journalist with Global Public Affairs, Hannah Thibedeau told The Tim Powers Show her money is on April 28.

“Sunday call, I’m going April 28 (when) everybody heads to the polls.”
