NL Health Services is warning the public of an outbreak of norovirus—or stomach flu—in the province.
A number of schools have seen an increase in reported cases of the illness which results in nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. The health authority says norovirus spreads quickly in group settings like schools.
To help prevent the spread, anyone who comes down with the bug is asked to stay home from school or work for at least 48 hours after your symptoms clear up.
