The Canadian Labour Congress has launched a new initiative aimed at bringing workers’ issues to the fore as Canadians get ready to head to the polls.
It’s called Workers Together, and as President Bea Bruske explains, the aim is to draw attention to the needs of workers.
She argues that those issues are often “on the backburner” for politicians, and the campaign will help make sure people have the proper information so they know what questions to ask when candidates come knocking at their door.
She says more investment is needed is infrastructure, job training, public services, and housing challenges.
