The Canadian Coast Guard says while no pollution has been observed to date, there is an ongoing risk that fuel could leak from the Baltic III.
The Coast Guard says weather conditions have allowed for some on-water access to the grounded cargo vessel, and the private salvage company T&T is continuing its preparations for oil heating and transfer operations.
Meanwhile, containers that carried polymeric beads, which are considered to be dangerous goods, have been removed from the vessel.
