Young hockey players in Wabana, who nearly had their season cut short, won’t be left without ice time thanks to a generous act from another community.
The Monsignor Bartlett Memorial Arena faced a major setback when its Zamboni broke down, putting the rest of the season in jeopardy.
But in less than a week, the City of Mount Pearl stepped up, loaning one of its Zambonis to keep the ice in shape.
The Town of Wabana is calling it an extraordinary act of kindness and is thanking Mount Pearl for its support.
