Three nominees from this province are in the spotlight as the Juno Awards take place tonight in Vancouver.
Inuk soprano Deantha Edmunds of St. John’s was nominated for Classical Composition of the Year and Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble) for Alikeness, recorded with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra Sinfonia.

Kellie Loder was nominated for Contemporary Album of the Year for Transitions, marking their third Juno nomination.
St. John’s music educator Robert Colbourne is one of five nominees for MusiCount’s Teacher of the Year Award.
