Premier Andrew Furey says it’s a “relief” to hear that Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President Donald Trump had a positive phone call.
Furey and other premiers met virtually with the PM late Friday afternoon, where the tariffs between this country and the U.S. continue to be top of mind.
Trump posted to his Truth Social profile that he and Carney “agree on many things” and “will be meeting immediately after” the election to work on “other factors that will end up being great for both” the U.S. and Canada.
Furey was in Washington in February to plead his case, where he left still feeling concerned over the ongoing trade war between the two countries.
