A young St. John’s musician will take the stage on American Idol tonight, hoping to earn a golden ticket to Hollywood.
Will Carter, 24, has been performing since childhood and has played venues across St. John’s.
Carter auditioned for the show in New York, performing for a panel of celebrity judges, including Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood. He described the experience as nerve-wracking but called it a great opportunity to showcase his talent.
Fans can watch Carter’s audition at a special viewing party tonight, featuring live music from the singer, at the Rock House on George Street. The event has a $10 cover charge.
American Idol airs at 9:30 p.m. NT on ABC.
