A man from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, already facing sexual assault and drug trafficking charges, has been arrested and charged again after crashing his vehicle in the town last week.
RCMP say officers came upon a single-vehicle crash on Cabot Crescent in Happy Valley-Goose Bay around 9:00 Friday evening.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, 44-year-old Darryl Dyson was found in possession of a quantity of suspected morphine and nearly $3,000 in cash.
Dyson appeared in court on Monday on additional charges of possession of a controlled substance, failure to comply with a release order and operating a vehicle with a suspended licence.
Dyson is scheduled to return to court on May 15th.
RCMP say the investigation continues, with further charges possible.
Dyson was charged last month with one count each of sexual assault, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of property obtained by crime.
