There is no official word on if, or when, operations at the Braya Renewable Fuels refinery at Come By Chance will resume.
In December, the company announced that it would temporarily shut down operations in January, citing lower-than-normal margins and the end of the Blenders Tax Credit in the U.S.
At the time, Vice President Paul Burton indicated that they were awaiting replacement of the tax credit, but until that happens, it is “not economically feasible to continue to process feedstock.”
VOCM News reached out to the company this week seeking a status update on operations at Come By Chance. A spokesperson says “there have been no definitive decisions regarding operations at Braya.”
