The Opposition wants to know whether the minister responsible has ordered an investigation into serious issues raised in a recent AG report on personal care homes.
Opposition critic for Children, Seniors and Social Development, Craig Pardy says Denise Hanrahan’s performance audit, which identified allegations of accidental death, neglect and even sexual assault.
Pardy says the province introduced the Adult Protection Act in 2021 to help protect vulnerable people – including seniors living in personal care homes.
Pardy wants to know whether the minister responsible has ordered an investigation under the Adult Protection Act to address some of the situations raised in Hanrahan’s report.
