The RNC is searching for a murder suspect after a shooting in the east end of St. John’s late Wednesday night.
Police believe Ibrahim Hussein, 19, is responsible for the targeted shooting on Watson Street, which left a 33-year-old man dead.
The RNC held a news conference this afternoon to identify Hussein as the suspect.
Hussein, who is of Syrian descent, is described as five feet, eight inches tall, about 170 pounds, with dreadlocks, and brown eyes.
He is facing charges including first-degree murder, several serious gun charges and breaching a court order.
He was already facing trial April 24 on unrelated charges including assault, uttering threats and breaching release orders.
Police say while the shooting was targeted, they are advising the public not to approach Hussein if they see him.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is urged to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
