The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has released more information about a situation in Airport Heights this morning that resulted in a heavy police presence.
The RNC was called just after 3:00 a.m. to reports of a “loud bang” at a home on Airport Heights Drive, near Savannah Park Drive.
The Tactical Response Unit was also called in the interest of public safety.
A short time later, police directed a number of people to vacate the property.
There were no injuries, and no arrests or charges.
The RNC remains on scene as part of an ongoing investigation.
