A man and woman were taken into custody last night and released without charge following reports of gunshots in the area of Thorburn Road near the Avalon Mall.
The incident resulted in an order from RNC for local residents to shelter in place.
RNC received multiple reports of gunshots in the area around 8:45 last night.
The tactical unit was brought in, and a number of people inside the home in question were vacated from the property under police direction.
Police located what appeared to be an assault rifle during a search of the home, but it turned out to be a BB gun.
The investigation continues.
