A man who was wanted for an assault that happened the night before decided to fess up at RNC Headquarters last evening.

Police were called to a disturbance at a home in the east end on Saturday night where someone had been assaulted.

The man responsible had left the scene before officers arrived and could not be located.

The 34-year-old showed up at RNC HQ over the supper hour yesterday to turn himself in on a charge of assault.

He was held for court.
