Members of the media will get a sneak peak today of a new “world class” Titanic and Iceberg exhibit in St. John’s.
On this day 113 years ago, the Titanic plunged beneath the waves in the icy Atlantic ocean, just off the coast of Newfoundland, taking 1,500 lives with it.
Today, Titanic submersible diver Larry Daley, will unveil the new exhibit.
It will feature artifacts, iceberg displays, scale Titanic models, and movie props from James Cameron’s 1997 romance-disaster film.
The exhibit is expected to open to the public in mid-May, and will be located underneath the Merchant Tavern on Water Street.
