There are a number of power outages mostly affecting central Newfoundland at this hour.
Both the Newfoundland Power and NL Hydro outage centres have numerous outages listed, with NF Power indicating most are weather related.
The forecast in many parts of central Newfoundland is calling for up to 15 cm of snow and strong winds gusting at times to up to 80 km/h by this evening.
Most of the outages do not have estimated restoration times.
Our crews are en route to Fogo Island and the estimated time for power restoration is 8pm. We’ll continue to provide updates as they become available.
