A “complicated” weather system that brought a mixed bag of conditions to the island over the long Easter weekend will begin to move off today.
It has been a dreary start to many eastern areas of the province, including metro.
Environment Canada meteorologist Wanda Batten says the flurries and showers will drop off throughout the morning, but the winds will stick around.
She says the winds will persist in many areas throughout the day, and clear skies are in the forecast for tomorrow.
The system brought some “significant” snowfall to western and central. While no records were broken, Batten notes it is unusual for this time of year.
She says the Green Bay-White Bay area got 36 cm of snow, and other areas got as much as 15 cm.
