A Torbay man accused of arranging sex with teenage girls at a local hotel has pleaded not guilty.
Twenty-six-year-old Daniel Richard originally faced 12 charges, including four counts each of sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
But additional charges of making, possessing and distributing child pornography have now been added to the list.
The RNC’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit arrested Richard on May 3rd of last year after receiving information regarding sexual violence involving three teenage girls.
Police said the incidents allegedly occurred a few days earlier, on April 29th at a local hotel, but declined to say which one.

Richard spent a weekend in jail before he was released on bail with a slew of strict conditions; namely to have no contact with the girls, follow a curfew, stay off social media, and live in Torbay with his parents, who put up several thousand dollars as sureties.
Defence lawyer Iain Hollett entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Richard, who has also chosen to be tried by provincial court judge.
A pre-trial conference is set for October 1st, with four days set aside for the trial itself later that month, Oct. 27-30.
