RCMP have arrested a 27-year-old man wanted on a number of serious charges.
An arrest warrant was issued for Jesse Lewis earlier today.
Bay Roberts RCMP confirmed this afternoon that Lewis has been arrested.
Lewis, who is no stranger to police, is facing charges including vehicle theft, dangerous driving, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, damage to property, flight from police, forcible confinement and failing to comply with a probation order.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 27-year-old repeat offender wanted on a number of serious charges.
Bay Roberts RCMP believe Jesse William Lewis is actively evading police on charges including forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and theft of a motor vehicle.
Mounties say Lewis could be in the North River or Brigus area.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lewis is asked to contact Bay Roberts RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
Charges against Lewis include:
- Robbery
- Theft of a vehicle
- Dangerous operation of a vehicle
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
- Mischief over $5,000
- Flight from peace officer
- Forcible confinement
- Failure to comply with a probation order
