The City of St. John’s says not everyone is following the order to vacate the Cochrane Pond campground.
The park was closed last week due to numerous “life-safety” issues, and people staying there were given 48 hours to leave.
But a spokesperson for the city confirms some users are not complying with the order.
A statement from the city says while they won’t physically remove people, failure to leave may result in additional charges being laid against the operators or those still in the park.
The park is being leased from the province by numbered company 91640 Newfoundland and Labrador Incorporated.
That company and its director Cliff Petten are facing almost 50 allegations of breaching city bylaws.
The case is due back in provincial court on June 4th.
