A 30-year-old Carbonear man has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance at a home in the town on Monday.

Harbour Grace RCMP say a woman was leaving her home when she was confronted by a man outside. The man allegedly threated her and demanded that she give him her vehicle.

The woman ran inside and the man allegedly threw a rock through her window and then started to beat up the vehicle parked in the driveway.

RCMP were quick to locate the suspect and took him into custody.

Lucas Rowe is facing charges of robbery, uttering threats, damage to property over $5000 and resisting arrest.

He’s scheduled to appear in court this Friday. The investigation continues.
