The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating following a dramatic crash involving a dump truck on the west coast over the weekend.
Police were first notified of the crash, which happened 3 km west of Corner Brook on the TCH, just before 10 p.m. Sunday night.
They say the dump truck, which was not carrying a load, was travelling in the westbound lane when it crossed into oncoming traffic, left the road and crashed into a ditch.
The vehicle was extensively damaged while the driver and lone occupant, a 46-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact the RNC at 709-637-4100.
