Speaker Derek Bennett reminded MHAs in the House of Assembly of legislative standards after Opposition member Lin Paddock withdrew comments made earlier this week.
Paddock, an accountant by profession, accused the government of ‘cooking the books’—a comment, and line of questioning he retracted yesterday.
“I respectfully retract my comments and questions,” Paddock told the Speaker. Bennett says it serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining decorum in the House of Assembly.
