A man has been charged after a woman was assaulted over the lunch hour yesterday.
Metro police were called to the west end after the woman claimed she had been assaulted by a man who was known to her. She suffered minor injuries.
The 42-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm.
He appeared in court that afternoon.
