The long-time MHA for Lake Melville, Perry Trimper received a standing ovation in the House of Assembly as he delivered his swan-song this afternoon.
Trimper announced in March that he would not be seeking a fourth term in office, likening politics to “a fast-moving conveyor belt.”
Trimper acknowledged the many people who have supported him over the last decade.
Trimper lost his wife Caroline to cancer last year. He also offered his thanks for her unwavering support.
“Adieu” he bid to his colleagues, and to Caroline who he says he misses very much.
