A justice of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador has passed away.
Donald Burrage began practicing law with Halley, Roberts, Barry before moving into the Department
of Justice with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Justice Burrage did not just live life quietly in the backrooms of government. He took it upon himself to save the Anglican Church in Brigus, enlisting famed artist Gerry Squires to do a painting of the church. The proceeds were used to extend the life of the church.
Justice Burrage, who will be waking at Carnell’s on Friday, will be laid to rest Saturday morning.
He was 67.
