A TAP Air Portugal flight bound for Newark had to make an emergency landing at YYT last evening due to fumes detected in the cabin.
The Airbus A321 originating out of Porto notified air traffic control of the issue and pilots requested a diversion to St. John’s.

The plane touched down at YYT at about 8:00 p.m. where it was met by several emergency responders on the tarmac.
Passengers deplaned shortly after. There is no word on any injuries.
