The Eastern Regional Service Board is extending the deadline for new access cards required to allow people to dump household items at local waste recovery facilities.
The original deadline to apply for an access card was April 1st, however, due to overwhelming public feedback, the deadline has been extended to January 2nd.
Chair of the board, Stephen Tessier, says it became clear that users of their waste recovery facilities needed more time for the implementation of access cards.
