A bear has been spotted in Bay Roberts and a trap has been set.
Bear sightings used to be rare on the Avalon Peninsula, but in recent years they have become more common.
Bears have been reported recently in the Brigus Junction, Holyrood and Denny’s Pond areas.
MHA Pam Parsons told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that a bear was spotted in the area of Babcock Boulevard and the Cleary subdivision.
