A CBS man has been charged for having an open fire during the province-wide fire ban.
RNC were called about someone having an open fire in the area of Pond Road in Kelligrews just before 11 last night.
The man has since been charged under the forestry act. The minimum fine for lighting a fire during the ban is $50,000.
The ban on outdoor fires remains in place until September 7.
