NL Health Services has awarded two 20-year multi-million dollar contracts for the lease of office space for two family care clinics – one in Port aux Basques, the other in Grand Falls-Windsor.

NLHS says the contract for 22,000 square feet of office space on Hardy’s Arterial Road in Grand Bay East, Port aux Basques will amount to $1.4 million annually for 20 years.

Meanwhile, the health authority is leasing more than 21,000 square feet of office space from GDR Enterprises at $1.3 million a year for the next 20 years. The new Exploits Family Care Team facility will be constructed on St. Catherine’s Street in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Both locations will include treatment spaces, patient exam rooms, and counselling rooms.

Construction on the Port aux Basques facility is expected to be completed late next year, while work on the Grand Falls-Windsor facility is expected to be done by early 2027.
