An agreement between Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Corner Brook Pulp and Paper has been extended to March 31.
It means the utility will continue to purchase excess power from the company’s hydro plant in Deer Lake – especially in the cold months.
Hydro says the agreement will have no impact on ratepayers.
NL Hydro pays well above the going rate for the electricity.
