The registration deadline for emergency financial assistance for those who had to evacuate due to a wildfire is tomorrow.
Affected households have until 8:00 tomorrow night to register with the Red Cross.
To be eligible, residents must have been evacuated from their primary residence, and they must confirm compliance with the evacuation order through official means such as an affidavit.
As well, the Canadian Red Cross will confirm a person’s primary address.
There are two ways for people to register – either call the Red Cross directly at 1-800-863-6582 or visit their website.
