The provincial government says there is a telephone banking scam making the rounds that is targeting seniors.

Fraudsters, impersonating provincial government employees, are making calls requesting personal banking information in exchange for money.

If a person receives such a call, they are being asked not to give any personal information and to hang up.

People are being asked to contact the RNC or RCMP to report a scam.
