RCMP have issued another update to the ongoing investigation related to a shelter-in-place advisory issued for Catalina this morning and a man who police say is still at large.
The shelter-in-place has since been lifted.
Police say 31-year-old Tyler Linthorne, who is from Port Union, is wanted on charges of assault, kidnapping, uttering threats, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Linthorne, who also goes by the surname Sutton, is 6 feet tall, weighs about 175 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Police are asking people not to approach Linthorne if he’s seen and to call 911.
There will be an increased police presence in the Catalina area for the time being.

Police are asking people to call 911 if they see Linthorne, and to not approach him.
Residents in the area woke up to an emergency alert this morning telling them to lock their doors and shelter-in-place while police responded to the situation.
There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area for the time being.

Residents on the Bonavista Peninsula are waking up to an early-morning emergency alert from the RCMP.
Police are dealing with an active criminal threat on King’s Cove Road near Catalina. Residents are being asked to shelter in place by locking doors, staying inside, and away from windows.
