A man is facing a slew of charges after trying to give police the slip while behind the wheel of a vehicle reported stolen from Conception Bay South.
RNC were called about the theft of a vehicle on Fowlers Road in CBS yesterday, however there was no sign of it at the time.
Officers later spotted the vehicle in the west end of St. John’s and attempted to pull it over, but instead it sped away.
RNC hauled out the spike belt and the car came to a halt. The 24-year-old driver, who was believed to be impaired, is already facing charges related to a similar incident last month.
The charges include flight from police, dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime, assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
A 15-year-old passenger was also arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of release order.
The two were held for court.
