Official provincial election results were released on Friday, and no automatic recounts will be triggered despite the relatively tight margins in some districts.
An automatic recount is triggered when the official results are within 10 votes.
The closest results in last week’s provincial election was in Lewisporte-Twillingate where Liberal incumbent Derek Bennett lost the seat to PC Mark Butt by just 18 votes.
Candidates or electors can request a judicial recount within ten days of the Official Count, which means any recount request must be made by Monday, October 27th.
