The Registered Nurses Union has a new director of labour relations as it prepares to enter into contract negotiations with the provincial government.
Jay Neville, who has an extensive background in labour and employment law, brings more than two decades of legal experience to the role says the RNU.
The current collective agreement is in place until June 30, 2026, and the union can serve notice to begin negotiations up to 120 days before a contract expires.
The union is currently gathering information from members as part of the planning phase ahead of the collective bargaining process.
Meanwhile, a negotiations team has been appointed and is in the preparation process .
