People who drop off their garbage at facilities under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Regional Service Board have less than two months to acquire the proper credentials which will be required in the new year.

Access cards will be required as of January 2nd, and the board says there will be no extension.

It takes 4-6 weeks to process an application, so the board is encouraging people to people to apply as soon as possible

The use of access cards does not apply to Robin Hood Bay, including the residential drop-off area, as that is managed by the city of St. John’s.
