A woman will face a judge this morning after failing to stop for the RNC during a traffic stop last night.
Officers on patrol in the area of Lemarchant Road flashed the lights just after 11:00. The driver floored it and later abandoned the vehicle downtown.
The 30-year-old driver was located by police not far from the scene. She was arrested and charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, assault with a weapon and resisting arrest.
