A man is facing several charges after a bartender was assaulted and patrons were challenged to fight at a pub on Manitoba Drive in Clarenville on the weekend.

Dylan Ryan, who’s 44, is accused of causing a disturbance at the bar just after 10:00 Friday night.

Clarenville RCMP also say the man stole several pre-packaged ice cream products from a gas station before going to the bar. Police located him when he returned to the gas station, and arrested him without incident.

He was held for court.
